New Works Barbara Rae
Barbara Rae CBE RA, renowned Scottish painter is equally at home with creating prints as she is painting. Printmaking has always been an integral part of her artistic life. For Rae, how she conceives and works on her monoprints, screenprints, carborundums and etchings enhances and informs her paintings and vice-versa.
As the master printmaker Ron Pokrasso quotes: 'Barbara is not a painter who makes prints but a painter and a printermaker'.

IMMA presents Graphic Studio: 50 Years in Dublin
The Irish Museum of Modern Art presents an exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Graphic Studio Dublin from 8 September 2010 - 3 January 2011. Graphic Studio Dublin was Ireland's first fine art print studio and, through innovation and progressive thinking, it has helped establish Ireland's reputation as the home of world class printmakers.
Graphic Studio: 50 Years in Dublin shows the range of the studio's scope, by way of the earliest works from the five founders (Patrick Hickey, Leslie MacWeeney, Liam Miller, Elizabeth Rivers and Anne Yeats), right through to a diverse selection of artists from different practices and backgrounds, such as A.R. Penck, William Crozier, Patrick Scott, Dorothy Cross and Barry Flanagan. The exhibition also considers the newer generation of artists who are continuing this legacy by integrating print into their practices, such as artists Diana Copperwhite and Geraldine O'Neill.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a full-colour, illustrated catalogue that will contain essays by the exhibition's curator Eimear O'Raw, as well as Aidan Dunne and Jackie Ryan, along with an introduction by Enrique Juncosa, Director of IMMA.

Yeats and the Golden Age of Print
An exhibition of 22 Graphic Studio Dublin artists, based on 11 poems of William Butler Yeats.
Primary Colours is an annual exhibition at Sligo Art Gallery to increase diaogue and interraction within the visual arts programme, to include schools, and the local community.
Given the cultural integration with the Yeats family in Co. Sligo, and given the intrinsic link between fine art print and the written word, specifically through the Yeats' sisters Cuala Press, Sligo Art Gallery felt it appropriate to invite members of Graphic Studio Dublin to respond to the poems of William Butler Yeats. This is particularly appropriate given that 2010 is Graphic Studio Dublin's 50th anniversary, and its original core group of founders included William Butler Yeats' daughter Anne Yeats.

Cliona Doyle's new works were inspired by and made on location at 'Il Certose di Pontignamo', a 14th century monastery just outside Sienna. The monastery overlooks formal walled gardens, which contain an extensive orchard and olive grooves. In this show the artist explores the significance of a medieval garden both for it’s symbolic meanings, aesthetic qualities and a means to provide sustenance for the monastery and it’s inhabitants.
