Eilis Murphy's images stem from an interest in local histories and buildings, in particular the older cinemas and the pivotal role they once played in the social and cultural life of a community.
Returning from working and living on farms and stations in Australia, Meadhbh Arthur's work portrays feelings of open space, freedom and physical interaction with nature.
Jenny Spain's current work deals with the inequality of power and resources in society and draws her inspiration from her community-based artwork with social groups on the edge of society.
Popular 19th century aesthetic and thought and the Victorian habits of collecting, preservation and display of natural curios inspire etchings by Caroline Donohue. Donohue portrays uncanny interiors, which represent the human desire for control and escapism from the everyday.
Clare Henderson portrays animals, people and the man-made world to evoke our inherent existential elements. Drawing from themes in theatre and literature, Henderson focuses on the works of Samuel Beckett and Paul Auster.
In a media world flooded with visual stimuli, Eilbhe Brennan is still captivated by the image and it's inherent narrative. Her work stems from childhood comics and annuals where imagery is the narrative.
Anne Marie McArdle's images of wild life enclosed by structural forms investigate the tension of the central being reacting against this constraint or resigning themselves to their fate.
