Niamh McGuinne b. 1967

Niamh McGuinne graduated from Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic in 1991 with an MA degree in the Conservation of Fine Art on Paper. In the 1990s she was the recipient of research scholarships (World of Watercolours and Drawings 1991, ICCROM 1996 and 1998) which enabled her to travel in France and Japan to study first-hand, the techniques and artistry of handmade papermaking. She has worked in a number of museums and galleries in the UK and Ireland and is currently a paper conservator in the National Gallery of Ireland.
