Niamh MacGowan

Niamh MacGowan trained as a graphic designer at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin. During her time there she found herself spending hours in the printmaking workshop. After working for a few design agencies she decided to go out on her own as a printmaker.

She moved to Richmond in London, where she was inspired by The River Thames and the old buildings to be found in its surrounding areas. Her etchings and aquatints have become well known for their detailed and quirky style which is instantly recognisable.

Niamh relocated to Ireland after seven years in London working as an artist and printmaker. She is now living in Wicklow but using the printing presses of Graphic Studio Dublin. Her work is selling in galleries in London and Dublin. She is now working in Graphic Studio Gallery.
