Leonie King

Leonie king has been living and working on the Western seaboard for the past 25 years. She went to the Londobn College of print and the Central school of Art and Design. She lectured in printmaking in The Regional Technical Art College Galway, then went on to establish the Spanish Arch print Studios and Gallery, where artists could both practice and exhibit. She was founder member of "Western Arists", a major show in the Galway Arts Festival and subsequenly "Impressions", an open submission show of national repute. King is part of a group Akin of artists living long term on the west coast of Ireland. She has travelled extensivly spending time in South America, India, Morocco finding it essential to be visually imspired by the exotic as well as Irish landscape and images.
