Terence Gravett was born in 1938 Terence Gravett has been a prolific printmaker for 40 years, creating and exhibiting work since the mid 1960s. He is best known for his use of colour, his technical virtuosity and the ambitious scale of his screen prints. He has received many awards for his work including an Arts Council residency in Belfast in1990. This brought him to Ireland where he has resided since. Throughout this time he has contributed energy and enthusiasm to a long career as a lecturer in English and Irish colleges of art, as well as visiting lectureship programmes in both the USA and Finland.

He has exhibited regularly in many European Biennale and his work is to be found in national and international collections, including; the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Arts Council of Great Britain, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, the Irish Contemporary Arts Society, the Ulster Museum and AIB.
