Lina Nordenstrom lives and works in Stockholm, where she was born in
1963. She attended the study programme for the Arts and Humanities at
Gothenburg University from 1982-85, Grafikskolan in Stockholm from
1991-95 and the Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm
from 2000-2001. Lina is well known in Ireland as a frequent visitor
and exhibitor. She will show her distinctive large scale blind
embossing and collograph prints composed of 16 sections. She will also
show two book-objects, from a series of twelve. Lina was awarded a
fellowship from the Ballinglen Arts Foundation in Mayo, Ireland in
2002 and participated at the prestigious Bloomsday centinary
exhibition The Cracked Lookingglass at the Graphic Studio Dublin. She
has exhibited widely throughout Scandinavia and has taken part in
group shows in Sweden, Norway, Poland, Brazil, Japan and China. Her
work is in major collections including The Modern Museum, Stockholm,
the Swedish Parliament, The National Gallery, Oslo, Norway, The
British Museum, National Gallery of Art, Warsaw and the Ballinglen
Archive.
