Helena Bergenrud

Helena Bergenrud was born in Lulea, in the north of Sweden. From
1970-71 she studied at the University College of Arts, Crafts and
Design in Stockholm and from 1971-74 at Ateneum in Helsinki, Finland.
From 1975-81 she continued her studies at the Forum Art School in
Malmo, Sweden, and during this period she undertook an eighteen-month
study trip to the USA and India. In 1996 she showed work as part of a
contemporary art series in churches in the Osterlen area, Sweden.
Helena was selected to take part in the The Print Triennial XII at The
Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm In 2003. In the same
year she was also invited to exhibit at the 8th Biennial of Graphic
Art of the Baltic States at Kaliningrad. She received the Madeleine
Pyk Grant (2004), the Erik Wessel-Fougstedt Award (2003) and the
Swedish Arts Grants Committee (1981, 1992). Helena has works in a
number of public collections including the National Public Art
Council, Sweden.
