Elina Druker

Elina Druker was born in Helsinki in 1970 and now lives in Stockholm. Since 2002 she has been a Lecturer and doctoral student at the Department of Literature at Stockholm University and is currently working on her dissertation which discusses specific features of the avant-garde picture book in the 1950's. She studied printmaking at Grafikskolan in Stockholm from 1992-95 and during her final year in 1994 she undertook a residency at the Graphic Studio Dublin. Elina has had solo shows at numerous venues in Sweden and Finland such as Grafikens Hus (2002) and Voipaala Art Centre in Saaksmaki (1999, 2001). She has exhibited in Drawings by Young Artists at the National Museum in Stockholm (1995) and Four Artist Draw at Myllysaari Museum in Valkeakoski, Finland (2002). In 2000 she took part in an artist exchange project between Valkeakoski, Finland and Nanchang, China.
