Margaret Becker was born in Dublin and studied at the National College of Art.
Having qualified as an art teacher, she spent six months at the School of Painting in Rome.
Since then she has taught art in a variety of schools both here and in England and created
stained glass panels for churches and private houses in Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US.
In 1963 she set up a stained glass studio in Dublin with Patrick Pye.
She joined the Graphic Studio in 1972 and in 1998 she opened the Leinster Printmaking Studio,
which runs it's own print courses. She was made Director of S. A.M. (Strategic Arts Movement)
in 1996.
