Born Portsmouth 1951, Le Brun studied painting at the Slade and
Chelsea Schools of Art. He has exhibited internationally in many major
museum surveys - most recently Contemporary Voices MoMA, New York
2005. In 1987 - 88 he was awarded the D.A.A.D and lived and worked in
Berlin. From 1990 - 2002 he served as a trustee of both the Tate and
the National Gallery London. He was elected to the Royal Academy in
1996 - R.A. Professor of Drawing 2000. Le Brun has work in many public
collections including the Tate Gallery, London, the British Museum and
the Museum of Modern Art New York.
