I was drawn to this delicate 15th Century Armenian painting because
of its simplicity. Its title is Adam and Eve in a Landscape.
Unlike most of the other images I saw - complex, beautiful and
complete - I found this small painting to be in some sense still
open. In my interpretation the tree has become the focus and I have
intensified and deepened the colour by changing day into night.
