A visit by a Japanese Emperor
If at the opening of this exhibition, after a few glasses of wine, you
happen to notice a butterfly flittering and fluttering about the
Chester Beatty, please do not swat or squash it, instead stand well
back, open the roof windows of the museum and treat it with dignity.
When it has viewed all the exhibits and flies off into the Dublin
night sky, give it a dignified send off, perhaps clapping and waving
your handkerchiefs (white / clean). For you may well have had the good
fortune to have been granted an audience by a Japanese Emperor.
